Not sure if anybody else has had this problem - dropping small items (keys, phone, breath mints, etc) between the front seats and the console?!?!? Terrible time trying to get anything out of there. So I cut two pieces of 1/2" L-bar stock about 12 inches long and mounted it to either side of the console next to the seat to act as a guard. Seriously - it's makes life SO much easier. Painted them to match the interior.

To make it removable, I used Velcro to attach. Just throwin the idea out there...
 
Everyone has trouble getting stuff out of the "blackhole". :laugh: I dont put anything in my right pocket for that reason unless I'm wearing jeans.Take some pics of your "invention".
 
I just stack a few magazines & slide them in that void, now I've got another form of media at my fingertips & when I drop frenchfries they just stay right there, easily retrievable:tongue:

seriously, a few magazines in that slot will save a ton of headaches, otherwise everything winds up falling way into the abyss, usually under the seat track slider, requiring removing the seat for retrieval in some cases even... a few magazines is a great solution for that I think...

Seats - The "Blackhole"

I sell real estate so I put a small directional sign (made out of corrugated plastic) between the seat and console to solve the problem. Works good and is easy for anyone to obtain. Does not cause a problem with the seat moving.
 
i spilled some coffee around my cupholder when i first got the car and some went down there, i can still see it on the seat side of the abyss and it drives me crazy that i can't get in there to clean it. gonna have to break down and remove the seat at some point.

I have actually had one of those claw things sitting in the crack for four years. If you can actually see what you lost - they work. But there is some felt flashing that blocks the view down to the upholstery and it's tough to use that claw effectively. Best solution is to stop the stuff from getting down there in the first place, for sure!
