Hallo all ...

great site. I just traded my dad my old wheels for his 04 FX45. I've been drooling over it for a few years now. I love it. Trying to figure out some weirdness in different areas. Maybe y'all will have ideas

1. slight hesitation when cornering/off throttle and back on. From poking around on the site earlier it appears it may be ECU calibration. IE: when i'm turning and let off of the gas when i accelerate again it seems like it's going to stall before getting gas. Dealer says it's normal. Not normal for any other vehicle i've driven

2. When it's cold (like that happens in SC) the subwoofer pops and loses power. Seems like a short but it doesn't happen when the weather is warm. I'd like to replace the factory sub but expect it will wait a while.

Best I can tell it has about all of the options. Navigation indicates sport package, correct? What does that change with the suspension? Also has DVD player.

Is the strut brace as important on 45? suspension is stiff as it is. I need to go back and read mods. I added a K&N drop in for kicks.

Welcome to :iS:! Great choice on the 45.

To clarify.....a nav would indicate tech package, but does seem to change from year to year. Sport package would have the stiffer suspension. And a dvd option would mean the rear seat entertainment option.

Please do read the mod section as it will help you with a variety of mods available for the 45 and if you have any question please post them.
 
stb doesnt make much diff... for me it hasnt... but if u do a full strut setup like rookie it should have a diff... or look nice

Welcome to the scene.Getting a STB will improve yur front end handeling. I have noticed a dramatic difference when I am taking a turn that has a 40mph limit and I take it at 70mph.Getting a rear brace like the GT Spec bar will give u a much more better handeling of your FX.As specific questions at a time and you will ge a specific answer.so ask away and Mod on.Allot of ou Moderators have spend countles hours in making this forum easy to search and easy to get to. So make sure you use the search button...ha ha
 
I was under the impression all 45 had sport package, is that not the case?

I should be getting window sticker, etc. in the near future. May help determine what it has at least.

What is different between 35 & 45 other than engine?

There are a lot of stock 35s in town. I love some of y'all's modified ones. See how much time/$$$ i have to put in this vs. Corvette!

A 35 is a 3.5L V6

A 45 is a 4.5L V8
 
Theres a lot more engine mods for the 35 than the 45, only because we share the same engine as the G35/350Z. Cosmetics wise there is no difference.
 
35's vs. 45's

At least for '08 all 45's have sport package, as well as different auto trans and rears. Moldings are different (chrome) around windows with a little difference in accessories (when I got my '08 45 at end of last summer the salesman wasn't aware of some of the things my had because being more familiar with the 35's) ex. power folding side mirrors.
