Santiago's FX50s sounds system build, rev 2!

Nice build, I didn't read the entire thread. But I see you are using hybrid audio speakers and sub huh. Very nice selection. I just started a build on my M56. I'll be raising the staging image a bit myself and process the sound with arc audio and a 10 channel processor. I'm looking for better SQ, and more dynamics throughout. Looking forward to seeing more pics when you get the time

I have a 2009 fx50s I would like a build sheet but more importantly those pillars where you did the mid and tweet install

Hi Deecarp,

Yeah, very happy with the Hybrids. Originally I had the 3's in the stock dash locations and fiddled with the tweets in the sails, but just too many reflections and other stuff going on. Sounded good, very wide stage, but... just out of wack.

Now with the L3s and L1R2s in the pillars it's a night and day difference. Very easy to tune, and once the tune was done the speakers really dissapeared and I'm quite pleased. Running Hybrid Clarus 6 in the doors as well. I am convinced they are probably the best value in high end 6 midbass speakers on the market. Really amazed at what they can do. Of course having the FX with it's sealed doors really helps.

Btw the sub is a Morel Ultimo 12sc. Adding a second soon, or swapping for 2 of the new Ultimo 12 titaniums.

santiagodraco - can you duplicate this system? How much would it cost and estimated time frame? Please pm me :good:
I would love to get this setup in fx35! I'm looking for the complete build a-pillars and rear cargo setup.
Thanks

I can look into it. It wouldn't be cheap though! ;) However we have the entire rear section in Autocad so it wouldn't be that hard to reproduce. The A-pillars though would require sending yours over to be modified or you'd have to buy a pair, they alone are like 250 each I think.

Are you looking just for the build minus the stereo components? I'll PM you my info and you can ring me when you have time.

Hi bud. Sorry I missed your post. I don't really have a build sheet for this. We did all the work (my friend and I).

If you are interested in the Autocad drawings that could be used for a CNC build something could probably be worked out but a lot of time and effort went into making all that so we'd probably want some compensation for those plans. There are several layers in the Autocad plans. The sub/amp enclosure, false floor layers and plexi plans, and the side panels for fans and misc electronics access.

For the pillars those were done by hand, no plans per se exist. However they could be replicated.

However whatever is done of course would still require some install skills and/or the assistance of a shop to complete properly.
