I wouldnt be that worried with the camber issue. I have the H&R's since spring and i have put near 5000 miles on it and no signs of uneven wear (think about those X5's with that massive rear camber). I think it's really an issue if you put many miles in straight line (meaning you will change the tires earlier than you expect) and not when you drive it hard trough the corners. Plus it looks sexy with some negative camber.

+1 !! finally someone who agrees the camber isn't as bad as everyone thinks

Jesse, I am on the other side as you know. last summer during a 2 month period I was putting on a 1,000 miles a week, all at a good speed, with the drop my tires would have been worn out. Mrlerry also wore out his tires due to camber wear.

I've seen some pics and the camber just looks like it would eat up my tires. I drive more than 15k a year..maybe you guys can post up pics of your camber and your alignment sheets.

Yeah I understand. I don't get it because I haven't noticed any uneven wear at all. You think there's a difference between the Eibach's and the H&R's ? Must be because everyone with the Eibach's has been complaining and everyone with the H&R's loves them

HRs should be worse due to the greater drop. I think it really boils down to the miles you put on your car.

^^ Exactly right Ian :smile (2): I did post my alignment specs quite a while ago on here, and I loved the ride and look with my Eibachs, if I didn't use my FX for long extended trips, I would have kept them on.

I've done over 20,000 miles in the last year and no signs of letting off....probably more....so I should probably get springs.

i drive my fx everyday but its 95% of the time its city ....i change my oil every three months and never get to 3000 miles so im gonna take you guys word and drop it on h&R's ...thanks alot.

I agree on the spacers, it will push it out some and the camber won't aesthetically look as bad.. If you're on stock wheels you can put 25mm in the rears no problem.

What were your toe specs? That will wear out tires much quicker than camber being out of spec. I've been driving lowered cars for over 10 years now and while I agree that negative camber does cause some accelerated wear, it's never been as bad as people make it out to be. On all of my lowered cars the camber was out of spec, not as bad as the "hellaflush" guys, but 2.5-3 degrees or so. My tires were generally good for 15-20K which I found very acceptable for high performance tires. The only times that I had premature tire wear were when the toe got out of spec. That would take out tires in 5-6K unfortunately. I'm not saying that when I replaced the tires it wasn't very obvious that the insides were going first, but they also weren't showing steel either.

Granted I drive a 1st gen so it's a bit different, but I'm lowered right now w/out a camber kit on cut H&R's. I had the car aligned and the camber is still out of spec, but the toe is good. 10K miles later, no premature tire wear at all. About to drop it more on coilovers, so we will see how that impacts things.
