I just picked one of these up as my battery just went down the crapper:

I noticed the other thread mentioned Optima batteries a lot. I have had some experience with them, especially with all the electronics on our cars stay away from the Red Tops and go for the Yellow, of course that is approaching/exceeding $200 hence why I went with the Interstate battery (I got it on special).

Take your time when replacing, they are a pain in the butt to get in and out and yes, you need to take off all the covers on that side of the car. :(

Here is the info from the Dealer Service Manual for the 2009 FX50

Type: 110D26L
20 hour rate capacity: 12V-75Ah
Cold Cranking Current (for reference value) : 720A

IS it Group 35 from soonster or 24F as listed on the Interstate Web site? Not sure what 110D26L is, maybe a Japanese auto industry code?

Yes, if you turn the 24F around 180 degrees the terminal locations are the same, - to left, + to right side when terminals are closest to you. Should work. I like the built in handle on the group 35!
