RWD lousy traction

Hey all, new to the forum. Live in LA. Just got a 2013 FX37 RWD and fishtails like crazy the moment there's a drop of water. Traction control kicks in immediately. But I can't get a grip, literally. I'm not gunning it around turns either. Came with new tires - Hankook Dynapro HP2. Only time I get some traction is with Snow mode - silly since it's just water! I had an 05 G35 coupe sport suspension, 19" for 13 years. Drove through rains no problem.

Dealer says it's all working fine - "never heard of this problem". Tire places say tires are good - "never heard of this problem". So confused. Anyone have any advice??

Could be the tire. Had same problem when I had the OEM tires; recently switched to Yoko Geolander X-CV's and much better in rain now. Go through a traffic circle on daily commute; in the rain, rears just spun badly on the OEM's but now no spinning unless I floor it coming out of the circle. Regardless of tire, still has issues in loose gravel though.

I'll say this though; figure out your priority in the quiet/cushier ride and inclement weather traction vs handling performance debate b/c these Yoko's are VERY, VERY (can't say very enough) soft.
2 of my Duelers still had very good treadlife so I put them up front and only put the Yokos on the back.
When I take a sweeper too hard, I can feel the rear end swing around. If I take transitions too hard (like my traffic circle), I can feel the back end 'wobble' too much.
When I push on the sidewalls w/ my knuckle; takes a lot more effort to "dent" the Duelers whereas the Yokos don't take any effort at all.
When I push on the car from the side; the duelers barely "wobble" whereas the Yokos kind of sway back/forth a little.
IMO; only other advantage for the Yokos are that they're about 8lbs lighter per tire, that's an excellent savings in upsrung just from switching tires.
This is an extra car for me so I can pick/choose when to drive it; for that reason alone, I would not buy these Yokos again.

Thanks for the heads up. I don't want to go down that road!

I put yoko geolanders on my wifes 06 fx35 with 18" wheels. I wish they would wear out. They are so loud, I can barely hear over the droning.
