Rust on the wheel "hub" of my FX - CLR?

I noticed that the hub on the rear wheels are covered in rust. Basically the center part of the rotors, where you bolt the wheels onto.

Think I can use CLR to remove the rust? It doesn't really affect anything, but I hate how it looks. I bought my FX used... once i clean this up, I wouldn't let it happen again:pissed-off:

Take the wheel off, wire brush that area, sand it down and paint it with a high heat black paint.
