Track Days to benefit Lefty’s Reading Challenge

Come celebrate NASCAR DAY with Lefty’s Track Days on Thursday, May 16 between 3-7p.m. Paced by the Speedway’s 1948 Fleetmaster Hot Rod Woody and the Speedway Pace Car, participants that make a $10 donation will get to drive their car on the 2-mile track, the very same track that NASCAR and INDYCAR stars battle side-by-side on.

But the fun doesn’t stop there! For only $20 per person, experience speeds over 100 mph with a ride in the official Speedway Pace Car. And when you’re done, get your picture taken with the Auto Club Speedway Show Car and Kids Club Mascot Lefty.

NASCAR Day wristbands will also be available for $5, as will the NASCAR Day collectible lapel pin for $10.

All proceeds from the event will benefit The NASCAR Foundation and the Auto Club Speedway Foundation which supports Lefty’s Reading Challenge, a program that encourages reading excellence from Southern California elementary school children and provides grants to school libraries.

And, for any INDYCAR tickets purchased this day only – pay NO service fees!

Stay tuned for more Lefty’s Track Days coming this summer.

In Fontana is Auto Club Speedway as SoCal's NASCAR track. Used to do IRL and AMA also. There's always something going on though.
Oh lol. I thought I had a chance of it being in Daytona with the address at the bottom of the post. Must have been fun running the fx around the track! Would love to take mine around one.

Here's a fun little video if you get past the cell phone quality and glam rock music choice. On this day, they would let about 8 cars go at once following the pace car. I had the #1 pole position and you get a few laps at about 80 mph. No passing, swerving, lagging, gunning it, or bumping allowed. The track did a good job organizing casual it as a family event.
