Rubberized paint for chrome accents, grille, and roof rails

Hey there. Just wondering if anyone has an experience using a rubberized paint to do any of the chrome accents roof rails or the grille? If so any downsides to using a paint like this? How many coats do you think would be necessary to get a good look and longevity out of the paint job? Will post pics if I decided to proceed with this and write up my experience. Just wanted to see if there was any previous knowledge out there.

plastidip? if yes we have many threads just search plastidip and also its doable and removeable

at least 5 coats, 1 hr dry each coat
