Rotors + Brakes Recommendation?

Weirdly I ordered rotors from eBay drilled/slotted. The price was a good bit cheaper than R1, but then when I paid and got my shipping confirmation, both were from R1. They look identical to the R1's on my other car but came in an unmarked box.

I use Rotorpros blank rotors with OEM pads works fine, but... I have this annoying high pitched humming that only occurs when I am coming to a stop from a slow speed. The pads are good they have plenty of meat left on them, had a mech look at it and said they looked fine and charged me $30 to look at em... but I think next time I'll go with the slotted rotors when it's time to change them out.

I have rotor pro rotors on both of my cars! I highly recommend the rotor pros PREMIUM rotors, tell them you want the best they have! Then get akebono pads, the pads they offer with the rotors are centric posi quiet and I did not like them as they seemed to heat the rotors and warped them. I talked to rich at rotor pros they ofcourse replaced them and went with the best (Premium) rotors and then bought the akebono pads as well as complete rebuild kits for all 4 calipers from a different source. I couldn't be any happier with this setup! Go to rotor pros website and email them for a quote and again tell him you want te best he has! Then search around and get the akebonos elsewhere as he does not offer them. Good luck!

I purchased the E-Line series rotors from R1 concepts and they lasted less than 20,000 miles under commuter driving conditions. When I contacted them about why this would happen they simply said "they are out of warranty but we have great prices on new ones" I left a review of the product and customer service on their website, no swearing or anything inappropriate and it was removed immediately leaving only the positive comments. I feel this bad business practice and very misleading to people researching their products.

It also appears my Facebook post of the same review lasted about 4 minutes before it was also removed. I guess they should rename their Testimonials to Positive Testimonials only.

I have the following setup:

Akebono Sport CV36 Brake Calipers
Stoptech Black Zinc Drilled/Slotted Sport Rotors
Stoptech Street Performance Brake Pads

Can't say it's a tremendous difference in stopping power, but it is noticeable. And the look of them is top notch. :)

Ordered from Coz at conceptzperformance.com. Real good guy.
