Yes, I am referring to the original aluminum roof rails that came with it.
Yea, when I took it to my local dealership for an I-Valuation, I also wanted to see how much it would take to get the roof rails installed back onto the car. I don't know why the original owner took 'em off (I don't really like the rail-less look IMHO).
I didn't think it would be a problem but he said something about how it would be difficult to install (something about the bolts being sawed off? not sure exactly what he was saying). Anyhow, I thought it would be a rather simple procedure but he made it seem like it could take a lot of labor time and told me it might not be worth it.
I called the dealership that I originally bought the vehicle from to see if they would cover the cost of the labor to re-install the roof rails (I would pay for the roof rails out of my pocket obviously) since I didn't really think it would be fair for me to pay so much just to get something simple as roof rails installed. And he said they couldn't do anything unless they actually saw the car to make a fair assessment...which really isn't worth the long drive just to see if it was possible.
