Roof rack

I want to remove my roof rack on my 2010 fx35 so can have it painted black or have it chromed.
Does anyone know weather it bolts from the top?
Does the headliner need to come out?
How so the end caps coem off so you can get to the bolts?

You have to remove the headliner to take it off since it's bolted on from up underneath. If your having it painted, there is no need to remove them to paint it. If the body shop knows what their doing, they should know they can paint it without removing it.


Oh and please don't have it chromed. Chrome is really tacky :tdown:. It's your ride and all that matters is what you like, but I'd really advise against chroming it lol.
 
I have a blk fx and am interested in getting them painted as well. When you get an estimate please post. Thx

We get it by now...you don't like chrome. I've noticed that any post on this site involving a mention of chrome invariably draws a posted opinion from you. You held back when commenting on my ride, yet still found a way to insult me by saying that my rims looked like they were "ghetto" and from pep boys. LOL...right. Tell ya' what - we live within 5 miles of each other. Let's meet up and park our FXs next to each other in a crowded area and ask passers-by which one they think looks better - your generic one with the cheesy, wanna-be 20" so-called "sport" wheels or mine, with all the bling that you hate...name the date, time and location...
