Roof Rack Questions

Hi everyone,
I recently picked up an 06 FX35 awd in exchange for my 05 G35 coupe since i needed more space and more functionality.

One of the reasons I got the FX was so I could haul around kayaks, mountain bikes, and snowboards using the roof rack. When I searched for "roof racks" here all I found were a bunch of threads that talked about deleting and removing the racks, completely opposite of what I'm looking to do. :-)

Right now my FX just has the rails and no cross beams.
My most important question is should I purchase the factory cross beams to use with something like the Yakima mighty mounts or should I purchase a system that clamps on to the existing rails.

Also, I noticed the sticker on the rails that says "Max load 100lbs". Is that 100lbs PER rail or combined and how "honest" is that.

Next question is what racks to all of you guys use and which is the best overall?
I know of Thule and Yakima but other then those I'm pretty ignorant of roof loading systems.

Thanks in advance for any help you guys can give!!!

Definitely skip on the FX crossbars.

Thule has a snowboard/ski rack that connects directly to the rails. I thinks it's the Snowcat 5400.

Thule and Yakima should have racks that can be used for multiple outdoor gear.

Here's some pics with kayaks.

haha, very true.
I had my old G35 coupe up to 147. What's the fastest my FX35 will run?
I can't of course drive that way with the girlfriend in the car. She was in a horrific car accident in college where one of the passengers died and another lost all function from the waste down. She was smart and had her seat belt on. The other two girls didn't.
