2015 QX70 2013 FX37 2011 FX35
I had a gray 2011 FX35 for a year and a week. Bought for $28k total with 47k miles.

I was headed home in the fast lane going 65, there was a slight dip in the freeway because of a bridge going over it. As soon as I came back up, I saw 4-5 cars parked in the right shoulder; next thing I know I slam into the car pictured. It was sticking out in the fast lane at an angle, with no blinkers or any light on. There had been a multi car collision a couple of minutes before and this car was the only one left in the lanes. I had my traction control off so my car did a 180° and was left facing oncoming traffic. Even while wearing my seatbelt I cracked the windshield in 2 different spots with my head but luckily had only a minor concussion. Insurance settled at 50/50 fault.

Just bought a black 2013 FX37 with 25k miles for the same price, 1 year 1 week was definitely not enough time with the FX!

Holy sh!t*** you're so lucky to be able walk away from that pile of metal and congrats on the new replacement .

50/50 fault? If he was stopped in the fast lane without any kind of indication I would assume it was his fault 100%. But either way, good luck with the new vehicle and good thing you weren't hurt. Cars can be replaced, lives can't

Glad you're OK.

Another example of how safe the FX is, and why my wife drives it everyday.

Glad your ok but it's bs that they say it's 50/50 can't you fight it? Did they make you pay a dectuctable?

Thanks guys my head feels cloudy at times but I'm good now. My lawyer said that in whatever situation, it comes down to the driver and that they have to be able to safely stop if something is in front... which in my case was nearly impossible. I didn't have to pay a deductible, didn't get paid for any chiropractic treatments, but got the full value of it. The hospital fee though... $20k and I only stayed there for about 8 hours. Thank God for insurance :D

WOW, that's really bad. how were the other people in the accident? were they okay?

Holy crap! Glad you walk out of that pile of wreck with only minor injuries. I hope the others involved in the accident were OK too.

Wow thats not bad for a 55mph plus offset collision. Glad everyone survived too, sucks about the 50/50 that car shouldn't have been in the lane, it sucks but the insurance was right the driver is responsible if they hit something in front of them.

That looks more like a 85 mph collision to me. Either way glad nobody was killed or seriously hurt.

whoa. happy to hear you are ok. 20K 8HR hospital stay, crazy..

black FX looks nice. congrats!

Holy $#|+! Thank God, you're still alive, and hava pretty new replacement.

Why drive with traction control off. Do you regularly?

And yet another reason I won't give up my 07 FX35... I know she'll take care of me if I ever get in an accident with her...

Hey Veritas, did you notice any power differences between the 35 and 37?

Thank you, and yeah unless its raining I always drive with traction control off. I've had close calls where Id start fishtailing or something and with it on, it locked my wheels and almost made me crash. With it turned off I can be in almost full control of where I want my car to go if it starts sliding for whatever reason.. I think I would have died if I had it on for that accident because the force would have thrown me straight into the windshield and not have the car spin around, I think some of the kinetic energy was lessened

From my personal experience, the 35 had more torque on takeoff but the 37 has way more power throughout. Especially after the couple of bolt ons. Either way, Id recommend the 37vhr all day
