Rims... soo expensive WHY!?

I have a family of 1 to feed (myself) and I still can't afford new rims  Either that or my priorities are a little different and I like to spend $15-20,000 on forced induction

Anyways, I suggest you go with either slightly used or OEM 20's if you don't have them already.

Also, many times you end up saving in the long run if you buy rims and tires from the same place that come pre-mounted and balanced, such as TireRack and DiscountTire and similar websites.

You looking to get 20's? 22's? Do you have the stock 20's? Stock 18's? Looking for just style points I assume and don't really care about ultra-light rims? Have a preference on color? Black w/ a polished lip, chrome, etc?

save your money for now and don't rush into anything... if your budget is $1,500 that means you're very limited to what's out there. I'm not saying that there aren't any decent looking wheels out there for $1,500, but again... I'm just saying, your options are going to be limited...

Here's what you should really do FIRST. IF you were to get wheels, you're going to want to lower the FX anyway, trust me it looks funky without springs, especially if you go 22s, instead for about $400, lower your FX FIRST.

Believe it or not, it'll enhance the look of your FX even tho it's such a subtle change. I made the mistake of getting new 20" wheels... and regretted it almost as soon as they were mounted. (I ended up getting other wheels.... some 22s, that I'm totally happy with now). By lowering your FX, you'll also notice improvements in take offs, braking and cornering. Some people will also claim lowering helps a little bit with the mpg cuz your FX will be more aerodynamic (maybe if you do a lot of highway driving).

In my opinion, shopping around for wheels is like shopping around for shoes... right now, you've got a nice suit (the FX), but if you skimp and go cheap and it's obvious, then you'll end up with pair of cheap shoes with your nice suit...
and it'll show...

OR you can just look for used wheels/tires... but you'll still have to be patient, just my .02
