Rim Weights

Strange, if somebody with an older version pre '05 wheel could weigh their 20's. Did you buy your FX used? I wonder if your 20's are knockoff's.

It was years ago... but I could have sworn I weighed the 2003 20" OEM wheels on my bathroom scale and I got ~40 lbs. I weighed my Axis Titans on my bathroom scale and were ~41 lbs, and I remember thinking that they were similar to OEM except 22's vs 20" and 9" width vs 8" width.

Now I'm really curious... too bad mine are long gone.

I have a conflict -- O.Z. Canyon ST 20x9.5 +40mm offset, 36.2 lbs, 1 piece low pressure cast. Specs off tirerack and confirmed by shipping weight when I purchased them.

moda 220 22x9.5" +36 mm offset, 43.5 lbs, 2 piece, low pressure cast center with forged rim. silver machined with clearcoat.

22x9.5 American Racing Torq Thrust M's with 265/40/22 Hankook Ventus ST RH06 tires - 71lbs a corner

Tire weight specified on Gripston.com is 35.1lbs, making the rims about 36lbs each which doesn't seem right for a 22x9.5 cast rim. Shouldn't they be a lot heavier?

STR 607

20x10.5" = ~34lbs

Total weight with 275/40/20 tire was 63.6lbs per corner. Tires are slightly undersized so they'll weigh less than OEM size.

That's what I was wondering also, because that seems extremely light for a 20" tire of that size.
I remember now from the pictures. I think he is running Michelin Diamaris.
From what i've gathered since i am searching for new tires Michelin's are pretty light compared to other makers.

Tires are Accelera Iota (another brand name for Apollo tires which also owns Vredenstein). I probably should have weighed tires alone, but I was in somewhat of a hurry. I'm 100% sure on the tire/rim combo weight. But the rim weight may be a little off since I had to try to balance it on the scale. Tire shipping weight was listed at 31lbs per box which is obviously an estimate as well. Keep in mind that my tires have overall diameter of 28.7" vs. 30.4" OEM. That will shave some weight. Same scale showed my old TSW setup at 75.2lbs for 22x9" w/ 265/40/22 tires.

Sorry for my mistake, but the thread pattern is similiar to the Michelin Diamaris.
