I have an 05 FX35 2WD, My question is useing the interior rear veiw mirror with my seat height adjust in all positions, most of the time I can only see the grill or lower front bumper of cars more than say 8 car lengths behind. To see the horizon I have to duck my head and only see it on the top 1/2 inch of the mirror. Rear springs were replaced with new factory ones with no help. Are there any aftermarket springs, spring seat spacer, etc that can raise the rear about an inch? Or should I live with it? Thanks for any input. BTW FX is 2WD with 20", factory suspension and tire size.

how tall are you? sounds like you are tall. anyways you can always try a aftermarket rear view mirror (RVM), but would loose the auto dimming feature and compass.

or maybe have the RVM relocated lower on the windshield? ( i know they come off since they take them off for a windshield replacement)

I'm only 5' 10" and I've put the seat all the way down. I've thought about lowering the mirror but it would end up in the middle of windshield. With replacement I would loose the homelink. I'm probably being too anal about this, LOL. The lowering of the mirror may be the best way. Thanks.

maybe a simple recline of the back rest will help. Also the mirror has 2 pivots, you have a little playing room there to lower it. GL

Hmm...I'm 5'10 and I have no issues with visibility with the stock rearview mirror. On a flat road you should see as far as the road goes.

I previously owned an 05 AWD FX35 and had no problems. But for some reason rear vis is fair at best. Even reclining the seat way back I only get the "horizon line" in the top 1 inch of the mirror. Oh well

i dont use my rearview too often, mostly side mirrors so if this happens to me i probably dont care that much. you may just have to play around with the seat and mirror adjustments to try and find a perfect medium.
