I ended up using a 894 bulb. It's a 37.5 watt fog light bulb(stock is 16 i think) but it needs a little modding to work but that's what we are all here for! All in all it took about 20 minutes to do the whole project, real easy quick job. You gotta cut the housing off of the 894 bulb and bend the tabs in a U shape so it fits tight in the stock holder. So far the heat doesn't seem to be an issue. It gets real warm but that's after a few minutes of constantly being on, I don't for see myself reversing for any extended periods of time.
Best thing about this mod is that it's $16 for a pair at walmart and no modifying anything on the car or running wires or relays or anything. The HID mod sounds real good and I would prefer it but I don't have an extra HID kit laying around and don't feel like adding relays and messing with the wiring and modding the bulb socket plus you can always return to stock but swapping bulbs. The light output won't match the HIDs either but they are allot brighter(double the stock wattage) now than stock and do the job perfectly for my needs. I'll see if i can get some night time shots to put up.
