Resonator on Invidia Exhaust

So a few weeks back I had an Invidia exhaust installed on my '05 fx35, and boy was it loud! I installed some sound deadening and that helped quite a lot, but when I'm accelerating to highway speeds it still gets kinda loud. So I was thinking of installing a resonator. I spoke to a local performance shop, and he recommended installing a Magnaflow resonator on each pipe (since its a dual exhaust). What do you guys recommend? Should I go this route, or do you recommend something else?

Get a Magnaflow resonated X-pipe. I replaced the Invidia X pipe and bullet resonators with this. It's much quieter, the stock Invidia resonators are quite small.

Alright, thanks. Where's a good place to order it from? Also, would you happen to have any pics of it? installed and before installation?

And is there a specific size I need for the invidia?

Glad somebody askedthis because I'll be getting one shipped hopefully by the end of this week , and it's my wife's daily ( it was mine before the baby came lol )
,,,, I'll love the sound but not to sure what she'll think of it

I actually just had a magnaflow resonator installed over the weekend. It helped ALOT with the drone and noise. It's actually quite close to stock now. For me, the exhaust sound is perfect now.

Now on to tinting my tail lights and reflectors, and installing LED turn mirrors :)

I want to say it is the 11386 model. It's the one that most domestic guys use-Camaro's and Mustangs. Should be 2.5" in and out. The G and Z guys use this on their HKS and knockoffs to replace the H-pipe, that's where I got the idea from. So I replaced the bullet resonators and Invidia non resonated X-pipe with this to eliminate rasp. I can honestly say that my setup has zero rasp right now. We will see in a few weeks when I install HFC's how it is.

Performance should not be lost, it is a straight through design and supposedly on Mustangs, it provides a gain in HP over the OEM X-pipe because the flow is optimized. I never dyno'd it.

That should be it. On the first gen, with the Invidia, that basically takes the place of the resonators and X-pipe. You can't keep the Invidia resonators as there's not room unless you move them further back toward the rear. Even then, it would be tight. The Magnaflow is decently sized, so it may look like it won't fit, but it does. In my pic, it shows were we mounted it because that's the only spot it will work. If you put it further back, it will not clear the factory brace.

I just linked to the other thread, didn't post the pics in this thread. Should work, I just checked.

And somewhat related, but I'm going to see if the resonators from the Invidia can be put on a set of HFC's. Just picked up a set from a member and haven't installed. Have the Invidia resonators just sitting on a shelf, so hopefully I can build my own set of Resonated HFC's. I think there is room where FI puts resonators on their HFC's.
