what does resonator delete mean? just removes the resonator and replaced with a straight pipe?

MilkMan, are you still liking the sound? I'm debating multiple options. G37 Muffler, Resonator Delete or Full Cat Back. I want the growl of the first gen, but not trying to increase too much volume.

resonator delete may not be what you're looking for. In my experience, resonator delete will raise the volume a little bit, but not really change the growl. You'll risk getting some rasp. If you're leaning on getting a cat-back, no harm in cutting out the resonator before hand just to try it out.
