Replacing turning signal light bulb with Stealth Bulb

Just want to confirm if this bulb will work on the EX.

The #7440 Stealth Bulb™ is an OEM replacement for your factory side marker bulbs. These bulbs often referred to as repeater bulbs are usually located on either side of a car or truck forward of the cabin to provide additional turn signal indication.
Bulb Specs: 12 Volt/ 1.75 Amp Single Filament Glass Wedge T 6 1/3 Type Bulb.

I just want to get rid of the egg-yolk look for the signal light. I think the EX will look better when this bulb installed.

I cannot post any link, but you guys can check out stealthauto.com if interested.

Thanks.

be careful which one you get, because depending on the company someitmes the output light is really orange compared to a yellow light. Liek for my FX, I tried to put the stealth lights in so that there was no orange/yellow showing on the bulb, but the light output was too amber and not yellow-ish snough tot he point wher ei jsut took it out

I replaced mine to blue. However, it has turned into greenish white. In some states, as long as you have turn signals, it does not matter what color it is. Obviously, red would be the exception.

Thanks for the comments!

Don't get me wrong, I would like it to flash amber, but i don't want to see the amber colour when the signal light is not on.

Am I comparing apples with oranges??:err:

Towards the bottom of that page 7440 single filament.

Stealth signal lights

Hey guy's, If you replaced the amber signal lights with those in the link, Wouldn't they "hyper flash" without a load reducer??:err:

Although it's a different bulb, it's the same concept. I think it looks much better.

There are both LED and filament bulbs in that link. But if you go to the bottom like doc said and get the 7440 single filament bulbs, you should be fine.

I purchased some replacement turn signal bulbs, but now that I look closely behind the headlight the space at the corner where the turn signal bulb are seems tight. I was able to change the DTRL bulbs easily of course since there is plenty of room for those...

Did you guys contort your arm to get it back in that corner space to change the bulbs or is there a "trick" to removing them easier?

I got mine from autolumination.com Not a FX, but I think they look great. Stealth bulbs are the same thing but they are over priced. I bought front and rears for about 20 bucks
