Replacing front door speakers, what adapter is needed?

So I'm trying to replace the door speakers in my '07. I read a bunch of stuff on the .org that it was pretty much a drop in, I'd just need some spacers because of the increased depth of most aftermarket 6.5" speakers. I finally got around to pulling the door panel off today and saw a big issue. Bose speakers don't use standard 4 bolt spacing, they have 3 bolts. The spacers I have are just that, spacers, not adapters. They have a 4 bolt pattern. So my question is, who makes an adapter for aftermarket speakers to drop into the Bose locations. And if they don't make them, what did you guys do to make it work? My first instinct was to just grab some self tapping sheet metal screws (which I still may do), but I wanted to see if there was another way.

Personally I wouldn't even look for adapters. I might however, opt for screw clips that will provide a little tighter threads than a sheet metal screw.

Or you can use plastic ones, which are cheaper also, but can't say anything about them. Looks good to me:

For speakers, machine screws > wood screws. For long term all weather reliability in a high vibration situation with extreme temperature fluctuations, screws into metal > screws into plastic > screws into mdf.

I'd still use plastic spacers and screw clips with a dab of blue loctite. Especially since you already have the plastic spacers.
