Replacing Front Coil Springs

I have to replace the front coil springs only (new ones are OEM) and keep the rear the same (stock). I was wondering if there will be any impact on the ride quality, handling, etc. because the rear springs will be softer due to usage? The car has 23K miles on it.

with 23k on the odo, i don't think you're going to notice drastic difference. why are you changing the coils btw? one way or the other, don't worry about any side effects in doing this.
