Replacing analog clock in my 2005 FX with a digital

Hey guys, I was wondering if it's possible to replace the analog clock in my Infiniti FX35 with a good ole digital clock. I find it a pain in the ass to have to try and read that tiny dam thing. I have the tech package so I have navigation, is there a setting I can turn on to see the time on my navigation?

Thanks, Alex

Personally, I would keep the analog clock. It adds more to the character of the FX. You can always have that digital clock on your screen. My 2 cents.

Duct tape a clock radio in front of the analog clock for a couple weeks. If then you still like it, starting thinking.
I like having the analog clock even though I never read it.

Wow! thanks for all the input! I honestly like the looks of the analog but, its just pain to read. How do I set a clock on my actual screen?

Thanks again, Alex

I believe that there are options within the system settings for displaying the clock on the main display.

Guys, our FXs don't have the digital
clock feature lol, the analog clock is the indication of upscale vehicle so that part was disabled in our cars:). Even though Murano or G will have it, FX is not.
So there :)

I wonder if you know the analog clock was not put in Infiniti's to help you know what time is even though its a clock? It was actually put in for asthetic purposes. It's gives the interior a more upscale classy look.

It DEFINITELY has to be an aesthetic-only feature.
Also, for the 1st gens 07 and 08 are the only ones with the digital clock on the screen.

Alright, well I'll double check today that there isn't a setting to have the time shown on my navigation. If there isn't, does anyone know where I could get a decent looking digital clock and how much it would cost? I realize how good and classy it looks but I'm only 16 and my cars pretty classy as it is compared to friends xD so i'd rather lose a little class just to be able to read the time faster and easier.

Thanks, Alex

Just double side tape a cheap digital clock there or something if you want a digital clock that badly. There's no way to replace the analog without cutting up your dash and that seems like a lot of work for something so trivial. Or use an smartphone on a dock.

Or wear a watch...I almost never look at the clock on any of my cars.

Like Stu said only 07-08 have the digital clock on the nav screen. The clocks on the 03-05 are much harder to see and make out than the 06-08 clocks. Maybe putting a brighter LED bulb in there could help out a bit perhaps.

You can mount one inside the cigarette lighter ash tray area, that way you can see it when you need it. Or you can just use the analog clock for a bit, you will get used to reading it.

Another option would be to do one of the nav screen to phone/ipod output mods.

Might also be able to do a HUD one that would reflect off the bottom of the window.

If you going to do a mod, make it a cool one that adds to the car rather than detracting.
