Removing Head Lights & Tail Lights

And the tail lights are very easy. Self explanatory really, just go back there and open the hatch and remove the corner plastic blocking one stud for the tail, and remove a plastic clip, then remove the other plastic clip on the actual hatch itself that hides the stud which holds the reverse lamp in.

Last time we talked, John told me that you can actually flex the bumper a little to take out the headlights. As far as I can remember:
1) Take out the top bolts securing bumper in place (and you might want to remove grille as well)
2) Take out the front bolts connecting bottom of the bumper with the plastic belly pan
3) Loosen the front part of the clips connecting bumper to the fender moldings
4) Flex the bumper a little and take out the headlight bolts
5) Take out the headlight..

If not, you need to take off the whole bumper. You need to take off the front part of the moldings, all bolts on the belly pan (that connects to the bumper) and finally take off two bolts inside the bumper.

Just don't pinch the wheel molding while trying to do it without completely removing the bumper. I think I've seen it done by just dropping the bumper from the front without unscrewing the wheel well liners.

what I do is disconnect everything like your taking the whole bumper off, except I don't remove all the lower 10mm's across the whole bottom edge except for the 2 outermost ones to release the wheel opening molding. then the bumper can kinda be hinged down & out enough to change the headlight without having to take the bumper completely off. I do still disconnect the whole front edge of the wheelwell opening molding though & move it out from the bumper, but the fogs can remain plugged in & the whole bottom remain attached, cuts the work down a bit, especially the bending down under the car part.

the only "hard" part of the whole job is the 2 bolts on either side that connect the fender to the bumper. it also helps to have someone help while hinging the cover out to squeeze the lights out of there without stressing the cover too much, or use a milkcrate in the center to hold it so it don't hinga all the way down

^:plus1: Just stick a flat head screwdriver down on the middle tab, push down and wiggle the screwdriver and it come loose.

Yeah it was just a little stubborn from not being touched In years I guess. I got it off after using a screw driver. Thanks a lot guys..now to figure hit which headlights to buy and use haha. I got some research ahead of me.

I'm doing both headlights and fogs. It seems based on the other threads 4300 k to 5000k is the cleanest and best. I'm gonna go with 4300 k I think
