Remote Starter on eBay

Just a heads up. Make sure you go to someone who is really good at installing alarms. Our fx's are very tricky to install an aftermarket alarm on especially with remote start.
Should look into compustar or Viper with SST. I think remote start with a pager is your best bet. Just so you would know when the fx is running or if the alarm goes off.

Basically, it's pointless in my opinion because the factory remote is not far at all. In an open field it's okay, throw in cars, buildings, etc... range is very short. By the time it turns on, you're at your door.

The reason I have it, is because I have CarLink, which lets me turn on my car from across the world (if I wanted to). No extra remote, just added distance for remote start.

My thread should give you enough information but just let me know if you have any questions.

whats the difference bet the 35 & 45 (ebay starter)
for there to be a 100dollar price difference...
are they just rippin 45'vers off!!????
 
hey guys, I am a novice. I would like to get my wife a remote starter for her 03 FX for Christmas. I'm on a tight budget and can't really afford to pay several hundred dollars to have one installed. I was curious as to whether or not it is possible for me to install myself. After reading some of these threads it looks pretty complicated. however, it sounds like my situation is a little different. I'm not interested in any type of alarm, or alarm interface and range isn't really an issue. I just need something that will work with the car sitting in the driveway. Do those two issues make the installation process simpler. If so what should I buy and where would you recommend me buying it.
