there are a few wires you have to connect to this unit and it has to be flashed before the install and then programed after the install. the 2 wire you need to find is the lock actuator wire and the second is the drivers door pin switch other wise it is plug and play and a pretty easy installIf anybody interested.
I have studied this subject for couple of month and found one Canadian company who have Fortin Evo All with Infiniti Harness.
So easy to plug, pin to pin, no need to cut any wires.

Works perfect from OEM remote, pressing 3x times lock, car starts.
Man i just cringed when I saw Audiovox. Please don't take it personally its just a preference thing with installers i guess.I had a buddy of mine tell me he had 5 cars for me to do in one day as side jobs and he had the alarm remote starts already.I was thinking great i will make about 600 bucks on a Sunday untill he told me it was Audiovox. I turned the jobs down but gave the job to another installer that likes Audiovox. He then gave me $200 for giving him the jobsI don't see a reason why the DBALL/DBALL2 can't work on 1st Gen. I can be done, but what's the point as the factory remote generally has a shorter range than the one that comes with the remote starter.
I have an Audiovox remote starter. I can use the factory remote to start the car with pressing lock, unlock, lock (?). I can't remember as I find it pretty useless. I also have Audiovox Carlink installed with the remote starter where I can start the car and lock/unlock the car via my phone. Carlink is an annual subscription ($29.99/yr) service like the Viper SmartStart.
