He guys,

After the weekend my plan is to change out the drivers side inner tie rod as it is bent, this was found by an alignment specialist last time i went for an alignment.
But i've read somewhere that i will require some special tool to do this.
Anybody here with some experience with this?
When i will do this i will make pictures and make a write up for this job.
In the meanwhile i will also change both outer rods and replace the hydraulic pipe towards the driver side front wheel as this is damaged.

The other job in between will be to send the front rotors for machining the get rid of the warp and install ferodo DS2500 brake pads.
These will be my last hope before going for a BBK.

Yup, you'll need a inner tie rod tool to do the job. Very straight forward. No tricks to it. Remove tire. Remove outer tie rod. You should be able to remove it without messing with the lower ball joint. Use the inner tie rod tool to remove it from the steering gear linkage. You will need an alignment afterward.

Ok then, what is this for kind of tool?
I assume the inner tie rod is just treaded inside the steering linkage?
Does this need a special tool for (un)tightening or something?
After replacement the plan was indeed to go for another alignment. This was also recommended by that guy.

So the only thing there is to untighten the old one and tighten the new one inside the steering linkage?

edit: Just ordered a 5/16 plenum spacer so i can keep going with modding as well

That inner tie rod tool works for many cars and can be rented at autozone for free. But it doesnt work for all cars...

I know a shop who might sell this tool, but i will remove the booth and check how and what is required.
I will try to see what is best to use and implement that in the write-up.
