Redrill wheels?

actually my wheels were 5x112. If they are bigger than 5x114.3 then they can't be redrilled since you can't make something smaller by drilling. But if the bolt pattern is smaller, you can make it bigger.

That is why I have not switched my wheels to the EXE Konkourse since those come in a 5x120. Can't make them fit.

Hope that makes sense.

You can always see if the company that makes the wheels will sell you blanks and then you can take them to go get drilled.........thats another option

Carlos, where did you take them to get redilled? how much? Just want to get some idea

like Ken said, this would look sick (if it fits after redrill)

I did some research and found this web site that will make wheel adapters from 5x114.3 to any (5x110 5x115 etc) with a 1 inch spacer (25.4mm) for $179 shipped in the US.
that would open up alot of wheel choices. But keep in mind the offset since the adapters are already 1 inch think (25.4mm)

Basically they are wheel spacers with a different bolt pattern on the output.

After looking at rims all day, I made a conclusion. You really can't redrill rims that do not have a cover over the lugs. Both members on this thread had redrilled rims and both have covers over they lug nuts.
I am confused that some wheel vendors are selling bolt patterns than are 4.50 and saying it will fit Magnums, Chargers (4.53).:hmmmm2:

yeah, these would look badass on your OB FX... I know there's no lips... and some people aren't down with that... but I find wheels with no lips, but flush with the tire tend to look HUGE... it's a visual effect... I'm just waiting for gto-dave to come in and say too much open space means BIG BRAKE upgrades:smile:

I had a friend in the tire business call his rim rep. He told me that the 5x115 wheel should fit 5x114.3 since dodge uses a larger stud. My other question is the center bore, not sure if the Viper rims have a large enough opening. My friend offered me to try out a metal rim that has the 5x115 and see how it fits.
The Viper rims only come in a 9 or 10 width and +18 offset. According to all that I have read here, that should be ok (hopefully).(depending on tire choice)

I really like the look of the rims with a red stripe on the lip. Just keeping myself in the mod. mode.:nerd:
