rear Wheel Bearing Replacement

My left side rear wheel bearing went out during a drive home from a 14er yesterday. It was quite a hairy ride as the car wanted to steer itself.

Anyhow, was able to get home and took things apart this morning.

I don't have access to a press so I'm wondering if I should buy a used hub assembly from a junkyard. Would one from an FX45 work? Are all 1st gen rear hubs the same?

I did this to my driver side rear. I just bought the whole assembly new then used a vice a little bit of grease and some persuasion to get it done. I wouldn't trust buying a used one just because you don't know how long it will last.

I ended up ordering new bearing assemblies. Just have wait a few days for them to come in. Also found someone with a press.

Hey all. I replaced the wheel bearing last Wednesday and the car is on the road again. Since one side wore out, is there a timeframe when the other will wear out as well?
