Rear passenger window won't raise from driver's switch

Searched the forums and suspect I need to replace the driver's door switch but I'd like a second opinion before tearing my door apart. I can lower the rear passenger window from my driver's switch but can't raise it. It seems to move slightly up then nothing. The window works fine from rear passenger door switch. Just for grins I used q-tips to apply water-based silicone along the window tracks. At least the other windows roll smooth now.

Just wondering if anyone has an easy fix...

Thanks. I was afraid of that. All the switches are together as one part (I believe part number 254011CA3B?) and $100 - $300? Ouch. There seem to be a lot more G35 master switches available. Does anyone know if they are interchangeable with the FX35?

image.webp Might just be dirty try some electrical switch contact cleaner.

Thanks, guys. I've never heard of contact cleaner before. Stupid question but do I need to take the door apart to apply it or can I spray it in from the top of the switch with it still installed in the door?

Try it from the top of switch without disassembly first and see if that works.
Just make sure the cleaner you use is plastic freindly!

Please note that there are two types of these cleaner sprays, one leaves no residues after cleaning, and the other kind is what you need for your switch application because it lubricate as it cleans, which ultimately will protects against humidity, I agree that you need to be careful about that the product needs to be plastic friendly, otherwise you have to take it apart and spray it from the inside.

I just used the switch in the back passengers door to raise mine for the last few years,('03 FX 35) until I sold it.

Stupid glitch, but it wasn't the only stupid switch, at least I could reach behind and close it. Th drivers seat adjustments were screwy and throwing a code for last 10 years, but it'd always work eventually?

I replaced it the day I sold the FX.
