Rear High Mount 3rd Brake Light Replacement

Today I backed into my garage door that had gotten stuck and did not open all the way and cracked the high mount 3rd brake light. (I know I know I should have looked through the rear window or used the side mirrors but the door doesn't usually get stuck and I rely on the rear-view camera too much)

I was wondering if anyone know how to remove and replace this part? I went to Infinitipartsusa_com and found the part for about $185 but it has no instructions on how to remove it and replace. It just shows a drawing of the light itself. Also, any idea if this price is way high? Seems pretty steep just for red plastic and a few LEDs.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Does anyone have a 2nd Gen Service Manual? I downloaded a copy of it but the removal/replacement instructions are on page (EXL-316) and for some reason the downloaded copy I have is missing the entire EXL section :(.

Pretty simple just don't reuse the seal otherwise your going to have water coming into your trunk. Just pop off the white plate thing from inside the trunk and remove the bolts and its out. It's a car part that's directly from the manufacturer ofcoarse your going to pay out of your ass for it:top:

Thanks! Do you know of any other sites besides infinitipartsusa.com? Though I'm guessing they will all be the same price since its straight from the manufacturer.

Aaron you are the man :top: We can always count on you for info like this. Good stuff my friend :smile (2):

Thanks Wayne!

The cheapest place your going to get it is at InfinitiPartsUSA.com. They actually already sell parts below MSRP. If you go straight to a local dealership your going to pay some more.
