Hi all,
So I've had this issue for a few months now and it's driving me insane, about ready to take this car for a long drive off a short pier.
Out of nowhere, the trunk developed a squeak. It's not terribly loud (radio on will hide it) but it's nearly constant. Doesn't matter if the road is perfectly smooth or going over bumps. There's no rhyme or reason to trigger this. It's just a near-constant subtle creak or squeak of plastic-plastic or vinyl, rubber (i.e., not metallic). I've had 3 friends and 1 shop look at and everybody hears it but nobody has ideas. We've even sat in the trunk while the car is driven and confirmed it's coming from the trunk door. I've lubed the rubber seals, adjusted the trunk stoppers, confirmed the latches are tight. I don't know what else to do! Any tips or ideas would be much appreciated. I know these "diagnose this sound based on my text" threads are a long shot but I'm desperate, ha!
