Rear hatch Auto Close?????

I was reading my manual (PDF version) and it says that there is a way to AutoClose the back hatch?
Any idea how to make this work?
Check out the screen shot of the manual.(highlighted in yellow)

Lol... I believe that's when you lightly close the hatch..


You don't SLAM it (which will break it), like you do on other cars, you lightly close and the car will do the rest.
 
I could be wrong but I think this is referring to when the door is partly open. Not a button that actually closes it. But it will securely lock it if you didn't shut iit all the way.

Oh, I thought it was like motorized and would close.....
I was out there in the street for over 15 minutes trying to get the angle right........

Very misleading...........
 
When you pull the liftgate down, let it go when gravity takes over and it will close the rest of the way and lock "automatically". As earlier stated, it you slam it, it will eventually break the electric pulldown mechanism. You have to get it started manually.
