Rear Crossmember

stu, yeah man, that's the baby... wonder how much it vibrates though? I know we did solid mounts in a z rear diff & it was a bitch with vibration & gear noise transfer to the cabin... the fx rear sub frame is on it's own body bushings so it may not be as much of an issue too, but not sure... also, why do I think I remember ours as being square? not sure on that one either but would be nice if it fits & don't add vibrations & transfer gear noise to the body

I know lots of local Z guys went to the solid bushings because they do AutoX and track events, so they can live with the vibrations more.

Doesn't this bushing also compress when one jacks up the entire rear of the vehicle via the rear differential? I wonder if that takes it's toll as well?

Hmm last two posts probably explain this then:

Hmm, looking at the pics and not in person it doesn't look like there would be room to fit the jack in there. Or at least not with the rear crossmember in the middle of the jack pad.

Does anyone have any updates on whether the bushings for the G35/350Z will cross over to the FX35? I've got an '04 and the fluid is gone and would like to replace it. I ran across a thread over on the 350Z forums and it looks like the KDT911 Whiteline kit should work:

FX hanger bolt/stud is larger diameter. You might need to enlarge the hole for the stud to go thru. Outer diameter of the bushing is the same from what I've seen.

if i recall the fx subframe is either thicker or longer. Im interested as well if it would fit or not. All i know you cant the Replacte te bushing you need change the whole frame.

FX is wider slightly, the core where the bushing goes should not be an issue. I run SPL solid bushings on the diff and the subframe, I believe I am running the G/Z stud which required switching to the G/Z diff cover.

A friend of mine is swapping oems to Whiteline on the subframe and diff. Will update you guys with what I find on the bushings. My friend works at whiteline as well so they are interested in the fitment.

Can anyone verify the nut size on the diff hanger stud? I can't remember if mine was changed to a G35 one or not. Mine is a 19mm socket right now.
