Rear axle click fix

Long term update: After almost three years my axle click has returned. Considering how much cheaper the Mobil1 grease is than the recommended Molycoat, I'm definitely going to use the M1 again and hope for another three years of click-free driving.

Interesting. I assume the dealer used the moly on mine. I haven't had it return. Or maybe the exhaust just drowns it out.
 
Interesting. None of the Chicago FX that I know has the axle click problem. Just like the fuel gauge problem, my FX35 is the only one around here with the problem. Three years fix is way better then a three months fix as comparing the two problem. I wonder if the grease simply dried out? I don't remember seeing any grease when I remove rear half shaft to change the rear hub bearing on two different FX. Is applying the grease there is the fix?
