Rattling Rattling Rattling!!!!!!!!!!!!

my 09 fx35 is almost 2 yrs old

AND IT RATTLES SO FREAKING MUCH!

there is strange rattle coming from various interior piece that is on and off. But recently the right front passenger door started rattling constantly. It would rattle when i go over bump, it would rattle when i turn up the music. This annoys me to no end, I LOVE to bang my music and the rattling is driving me insane....

I try kicking the door panels from the inside (not too hard of course) and it would minimize the rattle until i go over a bump or i put on a bassy song.


I expect rattles eventually from all japanese cars (except lexus) but not this soon?

My question is have anybody deal with this issue at the dealership? My problem is that sometimes the rattle dissapears (especially when i'm trying to show some1 else the rattle).

How is the inifniti dealership when it comes to interior piece rattling. Do they usually replace the part? Actually i don't care what they do, as long as the rattle is gone forever.

Any experiences 2nd gener? maybe even the 1st gen folks?
 
I had this problem too. The door is not rattling over bumps, but rattles when the bass is up and you got the music blasted. It's not the whole door panel, it's the handle on the door rattling up against the whole door pnael. Took the dealer 5 minutes to fix. They have these anti-rattle kits which is basically felt tape to prevent friction. They inserted the felt in between where the handle connects with the door. And BAM rattle gone:tup:


By the way what other rattling are you having? I can help you with that.

Thanks! I will let the dealer know! How long did the whole process took? I'm not sure its the door handle though, it seems to come from the tray on the side of the door but i might be wrong.


I also have a rattle coming from the center console. This one is problematic, rattles severly when i first start the car up in the cold and accelerate below 3k rpm. Dissapears went i go pass 3 and when the car is warm up =\

I don't feel comfortable tearing apart any of the interior piece. I don't trust myself, i don't want to break any clips and make the rattling even worse

The whole process took an hour of waiting, but like 5 minutes to complete. Just have them inspect the whole door panel, but with me it was just the door handle rattling cause of the heavy bass.


The center console I did myself cause it was too easy. The center console noise just have the dealer take apart and look at it. The noise is actually coming from the climate control seat controls rubbing up against the underside of the shifter panel under the center console. I made a DIY on here, so you could look at that and show it to the dealer.

These are the only two noises I've had in the car. I had another rattle coming from the glovebox, but found out it was just some crap I shoved inside the glovebox moving around lmao. :laugh:
 
2010 models don't have these two specific rattles. First model year of anything always needs some things worked out first.
 
"ThreeZero" I'm with you on the rattles especially on the door handles, mainly the drivers side. Good thing they come with Bose to quiet it down. I was thinking about fixing it but with my luck I would just make it worse. As for the center console no rattles yet "knock on wood".

Sad truth. I have vibration noise and rattles that come and go on my '06. Right now, there's a rattle or "buzz" coming from my A-pillar and also my instrument cluster.

Nothing irks me more, but I have to deal with it and I find myself just turning up the stereo volume so I don't think about it.
