^^I did the quarter panel without a seam, one piece.
Entirely possible. Just very difficult.
Even the shop I took it to decided to Seam the material at that location, and honestly it's impossible for you to tell.
I think we can all agree that your skill set far surpasses anyone else trying to DIY a vinyl wrap. So most people will need to seam at that location.
Where is the seam? Is it right behind the glass at the junction of the C pillar and quarter? Just curious because when I was planning to wrap mine, I was planning to seam it right there. Not so much from a difficulty standpoint but one piece seemed like a big waste of vinyl.
And with regards to knifeless tape, I don't like that stuff. It leaves a bit of a rough edge which is fine if you were going to tuck the edge of the vinyl. but if you were going to tuck the edge, you can just use a knife since it's not cutting on paint. And their demo video shows it being used around a tail light, it doesn't save any time over just pulling the tail light and the results are better if you pull the light or any other part for that matter. I bought several rolls of the tape thinking it would be great, but was disappointed. Only place I found it to come in handy was when I was installing a clear bra. I didn't buy a pre-cut kit so I used knifeless tape across the hood to get a good line. Even then, I had to heat the edge up and work it a little because it wasn't clean -glue residue pulled up by the line and I had to use a blade to really get parts of the edge clean.

The only seam that I had to make is on the top side of the bumper - just had way too much slack and creases there:
Also used knifeless tape on that - turned out pretty smooth and even. I guess it just depends on the quality of vinyl, quality of the adhesive, and its thickness. The carbon fiber vinyl i used was relatively thin and it cut pretty evenly
Yup mine is seamed right at that location.
