Haha. They don't really hide that much

No they don't, but when someone is driving behind you, having them off shows an extra bit of rubber (in my mind). I thought it made the whole look more aggressive. It was always a pain in the ass to put them back on in the fall though.

In other news I put on my wheels on saturday, and I went to a little gathering today:

Picture is pretty trash, but it conveys the message.

I really need a BBK.

For anyone wondering I am running 265/30/R22 on 10" wheels. So I'm running an overall diameter which is almost 2" shorter than stock. My speedo is wildly inaccurate now, but I have a few tricks up my sleeve to try and be the first to figure out how to fix that.

I always love your tubbed pics. This is the first one I've seen with devil horns. Nice!
The rear shots remind me of the old "Smok'in" (burning rubber) t-shirts from back in the day. I'd sure like a FX shirt like that!

Nice HREs man. So tricks do you have up your sleeve? Getting a GPS speedo gauge cluster perhaps?

No I have been talking with some of the Titan guys, and it seems a couple of them did eventually solve the issue of speedo calibration, with an inline Hypertech unit.

Traditionally with trucks when you put on big tires, the domestics you can just hook up a bully dog or whatever and set the speedo for a different size tire through that unit, but Titan's much like our cars were never able to do that. Many Titan guys just gave up and accepted this fact, just like the G35 and 350z guys have.

Everybody just says it's impossible rather than try and develop or find a solution. BUT a couple of Titan guys have allegedly gotten this product to work:

The big however here is that this unit actually has to stay in the car for it to keep working. I'm gonna be ordering one and see if I can get anything to work.

EDIT: Also nice to see you back Andrew. :D

Got some plans for it when I get back. Blacking out all the chrome and getting new lips on my wheels matching the gunmetal color on the face of the wheels. So no chrome anywhere, it's been bothering me ever since I got the FX. Next up HFC's and UpRev tune after that.

It's going to look badass with the trim blacked out. Go the extra mile and do the headlight interiors while you're at it. You won't be sorry.
