if these are made for the VK they will sell like hot bread.. the VK45 guys have being saving for stuff like this since most performance companies dont make stuff for the big girls...lol

If any of you vk dudes happen to have a spare half hour and a micrometer, an accurate shop drawing of the oem pulley(s) would make it a lot easier to kick out a lightweight aluminum version...

Something like this:

Update #2

The custom tooling took the shop longer than expected. The new arrival date is slated for mid-July. First run was made earlier this week and everything is coming out great. I'll have photos posted as soon as their finished.

Presale pricing is available until the pulleys arrive. If you're interested, PM me for details.

To the VK guys, your interest is noted. Keep up the interest list, I might do a group buy on these if we get enough guys.

Is this posted on the org?

No. Just on here and on NICO.

UPDATE

Just got weights from the machine shop. Preliminary weights are .8lbs for the VQ35/37HR engines and 1lb for the VQ35DE. This is lighter than anything else I've seen on the market. We did this by not skimping on manufacturer costs like some other companies.

New delivery date is the second week of July. I already have a handful of these presold. So if you're interested, I suggest you contact me for details.

Are they steel sleeved?

bump for an answer

I'd also be curious to know the precise weight of both the crank pulley and the acc pulleys. A .xx" tolerance on the measurement would be ideal.

is that a typo?? did he just say 1, UNO pound????

thats freaking light.. awesome...

Answers to a few questions which I'll also post in the main post.

Are they steel sleeved?

No, without going into name calling, we matched the OEM profile exactly and use 6061 T6 Aluminum. There should be NO oil seal issues.

What are the precise weights of the pulleys?

I believe it was 1.05lbs for the VQ35DE
And .796 for the VQ35/37HR

I'm not really sure how a few grams makes a difference...

Why didn't I post on the .org?

Which one? Referring to it as the .org makes me think of my Maxima days...

For your viewing pleasure, one of the first pulleys post machining. I believe this is for a 4B11 engine. Broaching and Anodizing in the next week...

Prelim%20Pulley%20Photos

It sometimes helps to know who your audience is . . for R&D, etc.
But I guess VQ is for the most part the same

That's pretty. I bet it would look very nice on a VK45DE

The reason I ask is that I just bought some of your competitors accessory pulleys that are advertised as being "lightweight" and as it turns out the difference, if any, is a few grams. Just curious as to how yours compare to the oem units. Obviously your crank pulley is crazy light so in that case the precision doesn't matter as much. Do you have the numbers for the acc pulleys?
