Radar Detector and tint eyebrow

Hey guys, this might sound like a stupid question but I'm buying a radar detector and I want it to be as unnoticeable as possible. If I mounted it where my tint eyebrow is on my front window, would it still work properly?

Thanks!

I believe it should still work especially the nicer ones. No matter where u put it though I'd take it Down...mine got stolen and it sucks!

Actually it's the perfect location. Mine is mounted this way(old Valentine setup). Get an Escort or Valentine radar detector, others are garbage IMO.

Now mounting it that high will be less effective to laser since the laser beam is narrow and cops try to shoot at your plate. I think mounting it right below the rear mirror with a Blendmount is the perfect spot and it is the recommend mounting position of most radar detector too.

Off topic but how do you keep your interior so clean. I have wheat interior and the blue jean marks get alll over them.

Zebra doesn't wear blue jeans while in the FX. He's in the buff and moisturizes with cocoa butter 2x a day :-)

You're extreme Ian. For the few times I meet up with Zebra, he's had on washed out faded jeans. Maybe that's the secret.

^^^Hahaha :rotfl:, yeah I clean it pretty often with this stuff

I had no problem picking laser with both Valentine and 9500ix in this spot

Ah, glad to hear no problem with picking up laser with the detector mount up high. I didn't want to spend for another Blemdmount on the mini van, so I use suction up mount and mounted the my 9500ix in that same spot. Was wondering why it not pickup any laser yet. I guess I have not been hit with laser on the minivan then!

To me 9500ix picking less laser signals than my old Valentine One for some reason. It doesn't picking laser at iPass tolls too, IDK.

I have the valentine one mounted at the top of my windshield. If I recall, reading back in the day of "Guys of Lidar" the V1 does best at the top of the windshield. Light will bounce off the car in front of you and give you earlier warning. It's some old reading but "real world" tests! Not some paid for, sponsor by test....
