Personally, I'm not a big fan of the heat shields on intakes. The poor seals don't really block enough heat for me to see it as a solution.
So . . Aero and DonBlaze have had that? Curious of their opinions.

I think there was a post on the G37 forums about the poor fitment/quality control of these intakes (it was pretty long). Word of warning...
I will speak for Aero, since he's temporary away for a bit. He didn't like it and went back to the Injen CAI. He felt the FX drives much better with the Injen CAI.

Injen would be my pick for the gen 1.5 V8s.
I've been very pleased with my Injen CAI system, all CAI performance gains are marginal to some extent but I'm sure it out performs my stock setup plus the K&R filter or the pop charger I tried. I'm convinced that breather mods need to be tuned in and CAI's really begin to provide better service the more the engine is built and pushed.
