Qx70 nav upgrades

Just bought a 2017 QX70. I decided not to get the nav package bc I thought I could screen mirror my phone, and just use that. Obviously I was mistaken. Also, I learned (by trial and error) that you can only use Bluetooth for phone calls, not to stream audio and music from your phone. You have to connect through the USB to play your phones audio through the car. Quite disappointing on both of these, especially disappointed in Infiniti for their treatment of the QX70 by making no improvements for years!

I am looking for hacks for both features. I am an electrical engineer, and quite skilled at retro fitting. If I had a wiring diagram with pin outs and/or schematics/block diagrams I could probably make anything I wanted for this car.
 
Welcome to IS. There aren't any screen hacks for what you want that I've seen. You need the NAV option to stream music from your phone.
 
Have you downloaded the FSM for you car? I'm sure there's a couple of schematics (probably not full wiring diagrams though) that could at least get you started! There are a few modules you can use to add a video stream to your display, but I don't know how good they are now... When I did mine, I just had an analog signal sent to my display, but I'm sure there are modules out there for digital video signals now...
