Qx70 in the UK

Hello All,

Perhaps foolishly(?) purchased a QX70 (2015, 38 k miles) earlier this year with no Infinti network in the UK but Nissan trying to fill the gap.

Love the car...lots questions on forum to follow....does gear box sometimes appear to drop to neutral on low load or downhill and provide no engine braking...is this normal...


More worrying recently....from standstill or low speed turning right corner I hear rubbing...hopefully it is rubbing and no transfer case or diff issue...hoping it is just a sticking brake caliper....

At least the gear changes are so much better than my previous merc w166 7g+and not full of Siemens electronics that will spit an error code whenever the weather changes...

Any how this car makes smile every time I drive it.

The tach dropping is normal, especially during speeds around 40 mph. I think it’s the torque converter locking up.

I’m not all that familiar with the technology, but as soon as you start pressing the accelerator it will unlock.

Other members can probably explain it in much better detail. I wouldn’t worry about it.
