Every time I put my FX into reverse, I hear squealing.. It is highly annoying. Any remedy for this? I have heard of this being a problem for some others... Car is an 05 btw..

Many have had this squeaking at some point with the oem rotors and pads. Best suggestion would be to do as many here have done and replace the rotors and pads with aftermarket ones. I had the same squeak but after I changed out the rotors no more squeaking, but I still use the oem pads as they have very little dust and are comparable to other aftermarket in stopping power.

Your Squeal is not uncommon, it's actually a given.
If you want to keep the stock setup, a rotor change seems to be the only fix.

I took it in once and all they did was resurface the stock rotors, it stopped for a couple weeks and it came back. After that I just went and order my rotorpro setup. No more noisy reverse for me:laugh:

i took mine back after the noise continues with new pads and some cleaning. the shop installed akebono (i think it was centric last time) pads this time, and so far no noise. hopefully it stays that way.

i have an issue where when i'm going in reverse, the first time i step on the break, i hear a single click sort of noise, as if something is moving in some kind of play. then it doesn't make it again, until i go forward, and hit the break for the first time, and it does it again. then i can drive aroudn forward just fine, but when i put it in reverse and start rolling, then hit the break, i hear it again. any ideas?

sorry to thread-jack

I have experienced this problem as well and I noticed that it was actually the caliper hitting the dry brake pad. if you want to keep your old pads just apply some goop behind the brake pads to prevent this. Instead all I did was get new pads that does not have metal behind them.

I have the same problem. Infiniti has turned my rotors and replaced my pads on their own dime. No go. Then one morning it just stopped for reasons i cant explain. It stayed like that for close to a year but now its back again. Time to look into after market stuff.
