Question to: All GTR wheel owners

Just looked up my notes to see what size I bought, nothing. Measure the depth of the front wheel lug hole that's what you want for both front and rear.

Going to be the devil's advocate here, they are so close to the center of rotation, the weight isn't material.

I'd rather have solid lugs vs. light weight.

If a socket can dent these, that is too soft.

Logan,

Thanks for the info. There are a couple of options on lugs. Diameter, thread count, and style of the base. I'll keep looking. Nissan said GTR lugs are $5.00 each. They also said the locking nuts (4) and key are about $50 and I believe that they'll match the GTR color. Not sure yet, but I was going to swing by Nissan and see if they are the long lugs.

$5 each sounded high until I looked at Rays and all of the others.

I have 10.5's front and rear and am running STII's 295/40's on all four corners (I miss the kooks in the rain.....). The 265/50 front - 295/45 rear combo is the best way to go to maintain the same circumference and not have any AWD issues.

Hi, I'm new to the forum. I have an AWD and, planing to get a set of GTR wheels as well. Do you think 255/40 front and 285/35 rear combo is gonna work?

Oh, I forgot to mention if I'm gonna lower 1"-1.5". Is that gonna work? Or I'm jsut too silly to think about that is gonna work? ;P

^^^ It's all about overall tire diameter. If you the fronts and backs close your AWD shouldn't have issues. Find a "wheel and tire calculator " online and plug in your specs.

That's too low of a profile and won't look good. Go with 265/50 and 295/45 and you will not have any AWD issues

Yep, like Nick said this size is great because not only do the two sizes fit perfectly with the staggered sizing of the GT-R wheels, but they are also identical in terms of overall diameter. In other words, the AWD system will probably not even notice that you have two different sized tires on, to put it crudely.

Which brand would you recommend Stu? Since I'm picking up that set of gtr wheels from Dallas tomorrow.

Oh, the tires are hard to find though. I got mine on eBay, and I think it was the only seller with 295s, but the price was good. He was selling in sets of 4, so I just messaged him saying I only needed two and he set it all up.

Got the yokohama parada spec x and they're pretty good. Quiet on highway, and cheap! I think I got mine at America's tire for $150 each. Not the best looking tread design tho...

Thanks for all the help guys, now I have to figure out what a set of all season gtr tires go for so that it can fund my new tires.
