question regards to strut bar for fx35.....

cool post some Picts when you get that done. We wear talking about a rear one tho.,
Oops, sorry. but i'm thinking the rear would be as complex as the front, with exception of cutting some interior stuff for pass-throughs. i would want to do both but i'll get the front done first then think about the rear. maybe integrate a dog barrier into it? i need one anyways. we'll see. BB

bringing this back for a quick question....When installing the strut bar, do you have to remove the existing black ring currently being held in place by the bolts, or do you bolt the strut bar right over it?

i have gt spec. I was gonna put it on today but couldn't get the bolts off. I need some better tools, but I put WD40 on the bolts and will try again tomorrow if I have time.

yeah with the gtspec you have to take it off...you would have probabyl figured that out anyway since there is no way they both would fit. p.s. dont make the nuts uber tight they only have to be hand tightened

Torque spec for upper three strut mounting bolts is 35 ft lbs.

it depends. if you have the stillen you don't need to

I have the stillen and removed them.

With any STB you should remove them, they serve no other purpose since the stb brackets will replace the black rings...plus you won't have as much available thread.
