Question for Blendmount radar mount users

So I've got my blendmount along with invisicord to mount my V1. I did a mock mount and noticed that the mount forces the V1 to point at a slight horizontal angle. The V1 is perfectly parallel to the ground, but it seems to be pointed a tad towards the passenger side, sorta between the 12 o'clock and 1 o'clock position. Just wondering if anyone has this issue and if this will hinder radar performance. Thanks.

you should be fine, it will only look crooked. I use a Zmount , but basically the same thing. you can try to pivot your mirror stem to compensate.
But you really need to hard mount to really know for sure.

Thanks for the response. I hope it straightens out a bit when I do hard mount it. BTW, do you guys leave the radar detector in the car? Would seem like a PITA to remove/install each time.

I noticed mine is a little crooked using the suction cup windshield mounts also. Kinda hard to position it perfectly, but it doesn't seem to affect anything.

Just move the mirror stem to align it perfectly.. with the blendmount and the cord, removing the detector from it's mount takes about 4 seconds.. I take it off if I'm in a shady place.. and I do so before I reach my parking space.

Thanks for the all the input guys. Got it installed and it doesn't seem as crooked as I thought. For future reference, I have an 06 FX35 and I tapped the black/red wire for the power and the black wire for the ground.
