question about Nav-TV options...

I'm less than a week into my ownership of an FX so i apologize if this has been discussed in the past, but i have an 07 FX35 with sport/handsfree/touring but NO navigation or DVD.

I was curious about the nav-tv--or similar products--as a good method for implementing some things i'd definitely want. i know that it allows for external DVD, either through my iphone's video but have seen other info regarding television on the front LCD. How exactly would that work and is worthwhile?

Basically, i just want to be able to watch dvds/movies on the front screen (with the ability to do so while in motion) and have the option to integrate my iphone into the car directly via added aux port or other option (and if the tv function is actually good, that as well).

What are the PROS and CONS of say Nav-TV vs a carPC vs aftermarket touchscreen display and what would be a general idea of prices for these with any installation it would/might need?

Sorry for asking so many questions and again i apologize if this has been posted before but i was having some trouble trying to compare those 3 options and work towards a decision. thanks in advance!

This topic has been discussed many times and the threads are located in in this section. Type in the search the search bar navtv and it will list all the threads pertaining to this topic. The navtv unit will do all that you are looking for but for TV viewing you will need a separate TV tuner installation and probably a satellite receiver to get the best reception depending on your area of coverage for OTA signal strength.
