Questiin about joystick

Hello, I am living in the Netherlands, I have bought an Infiniti FX35 and I have a small problem. The navigation in my car is changed to European navigation. When I turn the ignition on the SYSTEM START-UP warning is displayed on the screen. Then I have to select the "I AGREE" key by pushing the ENTER button on the joystick. When I push the ENTER button on the joystick NOTHING HAPPENS, it doesn't response at all! When I do the same procedure on the REMOTE CONTROLL it works!
Because it is very unpleasant to get the remote controll every time I want to ask if anyone knows what the problem could be?
The funny thing is that the joystick works correct with all other functions!

What remote control? FX doesn't have a remote for the navigation, are you talking about this?

If so, that shouldn't do anything on the navigation at all... If you have a different remote that controls the navigation then you might have an aftermarket unit there..

Also, please don't post about the same topic more than once..
 
the euro one might have a separate remote control or something....

but maybe it's just the stick itself and you need that replaced?

If it's 03-08, there's no euro version. If it's 09, I honestly don't think there's any remote coming with it.. I think if his navigation can be controlled by a remote, it's probably an aftermarket software on it..
 
the 03-05 have a "joystick" instead of a dial like the 06-08.

We have to push it to confirm we read all the info about driving and the nav screen.

Anyways, seems like you either have that part bad (ok button) or maybe a bad NAV disc? (nav program)

does the joystick work for other things? like settings or any of the trip readings?
that would tell you if something was wrong with the joystick.
 
When I do the same procedure on the REMOTE CONTROLL it works!

Im just curious about the remote control. can you take a pic and show us? I dont have a remote, other than the one for the rear DVD player.
